This ain't cheap
How to handle price objections
Welcome to your weekly dose of INSPO ✨ It’s never been easier to whip up ads for paid social, but how do you make sure yours are the ones that work? The answer: good strategy. And that’s what you’ll learn from this newsletter. Every week I’ll breakdown an ad and help you understand how to use the format effectively for your own brand.
Ad breakdown
If you sell a more expensive product, you’ve got to explain why it costs what it does.
Price is a common objection for lots of brands, especially when there are so many cheaper options on the market for customers.
But that doesn’t mean you should lower your prices.
Here’s why 👇
Cost and value are not the same thing.
And if you can communicate the value of your product effectively, you won’t need to lower the cost.
There are plenty of ways to communicate the value of your product and one of them is calling it out directly, just like K9 Vitality have done.
By stating ‘it’s not cheap’ they’re building trust with customers by showing people that they’re aware their product is priced higher than other options rather than trying to hide it.
They then build further trust through outlining the specific features of their product that cost more to produce and are important to their customers.
By outlining the fact customers can only get these benefits if they invest more, they make the purchase feel valuable, not just high cost.
The more people understand your product and trust your brand, the more likely they are to make a purchase.
How to make this format work for your brand
If your product is more expensive than others in your industry, this could be a great format to test and here are a few things to consider when you’re creating:
🪩 Outline the benefits of your product that are most important to specific customers
🪩 Test focusing on one benefit on its own rather than all at once
🪩 I’d have made the CTA on this more obvious either in a button or at least bolded
Give this a go and let me know what happens!
