What do you agree on?
Welcome to your weekly dose of INSPO ✨ It’s never been easier to whip up ads for paid social, but how do you make sure yours are the ones that work? The answer: good strategy. And that’s what you’ll learn from this newsletter. Every week I’ll breakdown an ad and help you understand how to use the format effectively for your own brand.
Ad breakdown
What do you and your audience agree on?
Some people have a soft spot for Ikea's meatballs and love building their own furniture.
But a lot of people don't.
And some of those people are Vinterior people.
Vinterior knows its audiences’ dislike of cheap food and DIY furniture.
It knows they find the process frustrating and argument inducing.
It knows they don't see themselves as 'Ikea people'.
So they've called it out in this ad as obviously as possible to build rapport.
Some people will hate it, but the right people will love it, and probably share it.
How to make this format work for your brand
To get this to work, you need to identify something obvious that you agree on with your audience which makes your position in the market perfectly clear.
🪩 What’s something you know you both can’t stand? A common enemy.
🪩 What’s something you do without thinking that is specific to a certain group?
🪩 What’s something you love but others would find weird?
Give this a go and let me know what happens!
Happy ad creating,
