Have you tried this?
The more the better
Hello! Welcome to your weekly dose of INSPO ✨
This week’s ad inspo is super simple (you can whip it up yourself if you’ve got Canva or Adobe express) as long as you’ve done your homework.
Ad breakdown
Ads don’t need to be pretty.
But they do need to speak to the right people in the right way.
This ad for Magic Spoon cereal does just that.
Here's why I think it works:
👉 The copy 'granola is boring' taps straight into a customer problem
👉 It goes on to say they’ve made theirs ‘crunchy’ and ‘delicious’ two very specific traits they know are missing from a lot of alternatives
👉 It then gives you the details you'd look for on the side of the box straight away, no hiding them in the small print, this builds trust
👉 It finishes with a subtle touch of urgency — they could sell out
👉 Visually it looks very different to a lot of polished ads and organic content
👉 It's the opposite of boring, emphasising the solution to the problem mentioned
If you know exactly what your customers want from you, this could be a winning format for you.
It's simple but a great way to cut through the noise.
How to make this format work for your brand
You’ve got to know why your customers buy from you and how to grab their attention before competitors do. Here’s how to get what you need:
🪩 Identify a problem that your product solves — be as specific as possible and use that to grab your audience’s attention
🪩 Tell them how you’ve solved it in a way you know they’ll love and include the facts they’ll go looking for before they buy — do the hard work for them
🪩 Emphasise the point you’re making visually
Give this a go and let me know how you get on 💪🏼
Happy ad making,
